Sir. O - Forever + a Day - Album Review

Sir. O has released his debut album Forever + a Day, which has an overall grown-up sound since he released the single Please Stop Talking that features on the album.

The type of music Sir. O is making falls into two categories which are either expansive and loud - some examples are the single Please Stop Talking, Lost - while on the flipside he can produce mellower and quieter tracks like Stay, Comeback and Fighting.

The songs are sketches of how someone observes people around themselves, while other songs are more introverted and seems more personal especially in friendships and in relationships like the cruel let-down song Three Words, You're Out Of Tune, Someone Your Thinking Of, and the killer song that is so true to a lot of people in I Can Let Go Of Everything (But You), and Something Is Missing.

Forever Plus A Day has its own space as it's a classically waving your hands-up in the air and flowing to the orchestral chorus moments in this feel-good song.

Sir. O has a nice way of writing songs and say it more poetically whether the lyrics is dealing with happinesses, sadness or even being pretty hurtful or cruel, though you have to think slightly more than in straight-talk, which once understood a smile will break-out on your face.

The last track is Glimmer Of Hope which says Sir. O has gone through the turmoil of life's experiences whether the observer or in the midsts of it, this song is more happier and positive.

Forever + a Day is available through iTunes

Laura Comfort - Don't Ignore Me - Album Release

Laura Comfort has released Don't Ignore Me which in her own words is very personal resulting from a long relationship breaking-up. Bearing this in mind throughout the album Laura Comfort wants to experience her new found freedom and this is evident in the pop songs, Come Take A Ride, Cherry Lips and Take A Chance.

Majority of the tracks on Don't Ignore Me are pop rock numbers, and they quickly get you jivin' and leaving you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Songs that reflect her new found liberty, but tells the story of things that have left an imprint on her is the ballad, It Hurts.

Quite clearly Before It's Too Late is a subject all of us will get to in our life, questioning ourselves and Laura's further reflective moments consumes the words in this track.

Addicted and I'm Going Crazy are electronic delights, the latter perfect for the hot summer days and disco floors.

Though Angelina Jolie wasn't written by Laura Comfort, the music kicks you into a bounce and the song deals with the fantasy of wanting to be someone else and to think Dame Angelina Jolie (high five to Great Britain) as she is now-known, that her lifestyle is full of glitz and glamour . But just to mention Dame Angelina Jolie has not only succeeded in her acting profession but the relentless campaigning on issues far removed from the comfort zone of America.

Many people can relate to the disco fusion song Was It Me. The questioning of why the other person didn't call-back, or want a relationship with you? The correct term would-be more commonly known as unrequited love.

If a woman gets confused with relationships then no wonder men get it wrong when it comes to the opposite sex, and Don't Ignore Me has good rhyming words that can make you smile if the lyrics hit home to you.

The finishing track Goodbye leaves you thinking whether Laura Comfort will return with another album, or is this it? Hope not. But that wouldn't be describing this haunting and delicate song about love lost and thinking about the past. The song can relate to broken friendships just as well as lovers falling out of love.

Caviare Days - Like Me - EP Review

Caviare Days are an alternative psychedelic rock group from Sweden, have a new release - Like Me EP.

Originally formed in Brooklyn, America by sisters Lina and Maja Westin, that have not only relocated to their native Sweden but are currently a five piece band with Timmy Grim - drums, Boris Grubesic - guitar, and Marcus Arborelius - keyboards and synthesizer bass.

The songs are very '60's alternative psychedelic rock and ironically they're all British influence have had the Abbey Road Studios treatment to get a raw echoey edge to the sound.

From the opening track Like Me, Great Minds - has some nice double vocals to get that stereo sound through the speakers, the epic revenge song Trigger, and the grungy Green, each have a good solid rhythm with parts of experimentation supplied by the guitars, and synthesizers to cut their unique sound above the rest.

Caviare Days are a group worth checking-out as they'll sure produce some more musical surprises along their creative path.

Like Me EP is available @ Google Play

Milow The Girl - 32,000 Feet Above - Album Review

Milow The Girl has released 32,000 Feet Above album.

The main core of the album's message is to persevere with things in one's life, no matter what gets in your way.

Beautiful World is the first track that will get you rockin'-out, but the song looks at the turmoil in our most unfortunate world, but it shouldn't be because we have many areas of paradise here on Earth.

We get into a lo-fi vibe with Contradiction, that begs for you to look at yourself, however seeking affection but seeing no reflection, kind of tells us that we can easily blend into the background to be unseen and irrelevant.

The songs that are pop-delicious are Funny Feeling, and singing about love but as a big Distraction, crazy Nights in Vegas, and seeking dreams in the electronic dance track Purple.

These crop of songs seem more poignant and trying to gain some navigation in one's life is perfectly illustrated in Lost, and Sad & Wild. Though with Holiday is all about getting away from the confines of everyday stressful living. More strong themed songs keep continuing in Secrets, a soft ballad of strings, and piano.

Another rock tune Blinded, though the guitars are more heavy metal in this song about the environmental destruction we are inflicting on our planet.

The album doesn't wind-down towards the end with a loose pop-rock song Generation, concerns the aspects of more loving than living in hell in a relationship.

Ending-off 32,000 Feet Above is the synth-heavy metal ballad What If (Losing My Mind), which delves into the tortuous and cruel relationships that exists between lovers and partners.

There are two Remix versions, the first is Sad & Wild (Ecode), and the second being the UK Club Hit - Distraction (Allan & Loverush).

The album is available @ iTunes & on CD @ Amazon
