Exclusive Interview with Heavy Metal Band Painside with Clown Magazine!

 

What is the background of your album release?

We’ve released a 4 song EP called Build Your Fiction presenting our new material. This time around we’ve been more inclined than before to combine our modern influences like Disturbed and Killswitch Engage with some of the heaviness and melody of classic bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica.

With these songs we’re trying to convey more positive messages, because we feel there’s too much strife going around right now, so going for a positive message seems like the right way to go.

 

What’s been your journey?

It has been quite natural actually. Most of us in the band have been friends for a long-time, some even going back to high school. The transition into a professional band has been natural, but not without the blood, sweat and tears that come with the job!

What keeps you going as a musician or band?

The love of our fans, and our own creative fire. As long as we have something to say, we’ll keep going.

Where do you want to be in the future? Top of the world, or just plodding along?

I guess every artist wants to be on the top of the world, though it’s a hard climb and even harder to stay there. Personally, I want to be able to play for each and every fan we’ve got, no matter where they come from in the world.

Describe in your own words your creative ideas, and what you want to explore as a band for the future?

We’re already working on some new material to be released next year, but the overall vibe is a step forward from this recent material. Lot’s of melody, but keeping the heaviness and the upbeat aspects of our music.
